What's included
The registration fee and deposit are payable to secure a nursery place. The deposit is refunded when the required one month's notice is given, in line with our terms and conditions.
Consumables & enrichment: for funded attendance, the £17 daily contribution is separate from the funded entitlement. If you choose not to pay it, you'll need to provide everything your child needs for each session, such as meals, snacks and drinks, nappies and wipes, sun cream and other personal items.
Classes & enrichment run throughout the week. Where an activity carries an extra charge, taking part is optional.
Tiny Town: once a month, Thamesmead children can visit Tiny Town, our role-play village at our Sidcup nursery (£20 per visit, optional).
Funded hours & Tax-Free Childcare
We accept government-funded hours alongside private places. Depending on your circumstances you may be eligible for:
- 15 hours for all 3 and 4 year olds
- Up to 30 hours for eligible working families with children from 9 months old
- 15 hours for eligible 2 year olds whose families receive certain support
- Tax-Free Childcare: the government adds £2 for every £8 you pay, up to £2,000 per child per year
Check what you can get at childcarechoices.gov.uk.
At Thamesmead, funded hours are stretched across our 51 weeks: a 30-hour entitlement gives roughly 22.35 funded hours a week, and a 15-hour entitlement roughly 11.18 hours a week. Funded hours are free of charge; attendance above that is charged privately.
